Quarter-Leather Case Bindings

Similar to the French Groove and Five-section Flat-back case bindings;
however, these books have leather rather than cloth on the spine. The leather
has been pared very thin on a Schaerfix and adhered to the case, with beautiful pastepaper or other decorative papers finishing the look.

Leather case bindings sell for $40-$55 each.

Flexible-style Leather

The textblocks for this style of binding have been sewn on raised cords which are laced into the boards before being covered by leather. Hand-sewn silk or linen endbands and decorative papers add to this luxurious binding style; available in quarter-leather, half-leather, or full-leather.

Flexible-style bindings cost between $75-100 per book.
