Speckled Trout by Ron Rash This collaborative broadside brought together a poet, a wood block artist, and a printer from three different states: New York, South Carolina, and Alabama. A lover of poetry found the three of us and commissioned this piece. Ron Rash wrote the beautiful words (copyright 2002), while Steve Thurston carved the wood block of the magnificent fish. I set the type and printed the image and text to complete the collaboration. Letterpress printed from 12 and 14 point Centaur metal types on buff colored Rives BFK paper in 2009. 200 copies printed 7 x 14 inches NFS
